Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to start your career in education? 

We’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant’s to join our growing team. This is a full-time, term-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, 32.5 hours per week). If you’re passionate about supporting children and helping to transform education in Harrow, we’d love to hear from you! 

Weald Rise Primary School is a well-established, two-form entry school in Harrow. The school has a growing population and our last Ofsted inspection confirmed the school to be GOOD. The school’s rich diversity of pupils from different backgrounds has created a strong ethos of community where equality of opportunity and inclusion underpin our work. Staff are committed to providing the very best learning experiences for the children and the school has established a personalised curriculum to meet their learning needs; our curriculum offers a full, broad and balanced range of learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom, within a supportive and engaging teaching environment.

The successful candidate will: 

• Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude 

• Be dedicated to creating a fun and engaging learning environment while remaining attentive and responsive to each child’s individual needs 

• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting learning across the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 – whether in the classroom, small groups or one-to-one settings 

• Be dependable, professional and resilient under pressure 

• Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills, both written and verbal – this is a key requirement

Salary: G2 Point 8 

Hours: Full Time (32.5hrs p/w)
