We are thrilled to announce two fantastic initiatives that will be launching in the Summer Term of 2025 at Weald Rise: our Morning Club and a free Breakfast Club for pupils in Reception to Year 6.
Morning Clubs
Starting from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM, Monday to Thursday, our Morning Club will be led by our sports coach from Primary Sporting Development (PSD). This club is designed to support our working parents while providing children with exercise and team-building activities before the school day begins. Participating in the Morning Club has been shown to enhance alertness, energy levels, mood, and focus among students.
The cost for the Morning Club is £2.00 per day per child, which must be paid in advance via ParentPay.

Breakfast Club
We are also excited to share that Weald Rise has been selected as one of only 750 schools nationwide to offer a free Breakfast Club for all pupils in Reception to Year 6. This initiative allows children to arrive at school early, enjoy a healthy breakfast, and ease into their school day. We will collaborate with our lunch caterers to provide a nutritious breakfast that meets the Government's School Food Standards for England. Research shows that a healthy breakfast can significantly improve attendance and alertness in the classroom, and we believe this will help address punctuality issues that many schools face.
After breakfast, children will have the opportunity to engage in team-building activities with PSD and enjoy some quiet reading time in our designated reading corner, either alone or with friends.
To ensure we can accommodate and cater for all children attending the Breakfast Club, we kindly ask that you inform the school in advance of your child's attendance and the specific days you require. You can find a section regarding this in the letter sent to all parents at the end of the Spring Term, as well as below.

After School Clubs
We have a wide range of After School Clubs operating throughout the year. Information regarding these is sent out to parents via the pupils. There is usually a small cost associated with each after school club, although this may be waived if you are in receipt of certain benefits.
